CRISPY CAJUN SHRIMP PENNE
It’s just one of those drool-worthy meals, that will have you dreaming for your next dish.
INGREDIENTS
- Fettucine (or Penne)
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 15 shrimp
- 1 tablespoon of cajun spice
- 2 tablespoons of flour
- 1 cup of vegetable broth
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup parmesan, grated
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook pasta until soft but slightly hard still.
- Clean shrimp and season with 1 tablespoon of cajun spice.
- Drizzle flour over shrimp and toss in a bowl to ensure each side is covered with flour.
- Add butter and olive oil to deep skillet on high heat. Add shrimp and cook until crisp (approximately 2 minutes). Remove and set aside.
- Add broth and heavy cream to skillet. Season with cajun spice. Cook until sauce thickens from heavy cream and parmesan cheese – whisk.
- Add pasta and shrimp to sauce. Toss and serve!
